Entertainment Level- Lo-Med-Hi I say Medium, the book held my attention, pulled out a few laughs and caused some big grins to spread across my face. I experienced the whole gamut of emotions throughout this book which had me laughing one minute, swooning in romance heaven the next, and openly sobbing my heart out at the turn of a page. This extraordinary girl exudes a light and warmth that draws people to her and really possesses a truly beautiful soul.

This book is like an emotional vortex, it sucks you in, drowns you in emotions and feels and doesn’t let you free until the end. Describes a book or dust jacket that does show some signs of wear on either the binding, dust jacket or pages. Nothing happened in the story for nearly 80% of the novel, until the alleged “big secret” is revealed. Keller was a total sweetheart, and I spent most of the book just wanting to give him the biggest hug.Kate’s tendency to see the best in other people (which sounds cheesy, but somehow it really wasn’t), was one the of things I loved most about her… from her blasé roommate Sugar who steals her stuff and is constantly kicking Kate out of her room to hook up with random guys, to her bitchy aunt Maddie who hasn’t a single nice thing to say, Kate manages to find good in everyone, and in cases like these where it’s well hidden, she has a strange knack of drawing it out of them eventually. Shes an intensely powerful, brave strong girl who captures everyone's heart , her purity of soul and generous spirit spellbinds everyone who she touches. These two loved each other unconditionally, the lines of friendship having been blurred once these two were firmly putting their best friends label first even though at times you knew, ideally in another world, another scenario that these two were meant to be together. Plot/Storyline- A girl leaves Cali to go attend college in a small Minnesota town where she makes new friends and finds LOVE.

I could even tell WHEN it was going to happen when his point of view stopped in the table of contents and I STILL wept big sobby sloppy tears over him when it happened. Then there's Gus (who I hear is getting his own book), and Keller, and Clayton, and Stella, and pretty much every character in this book. Let the emotion and feels take you away for those few hours, learn some life lessons, be inspired, you will laugh, you will cry, you will swoon, but most of all you will feel. I like Kim Holden’s style; she’s always saying something or maybe I should say relaying something about Kate in her writing when you’re not looking for it… its genius really.First attractions are something that are new to Bright Side she's taken with Keller instantly and their relationship blossoms gradually.
