I read this through and decided to start the walking year in January of 2023 since the weeks approximately follow the year weather-wise.Our choice of location, time, direction, duration, walking companion and gait, as well as the weather we opt to walk in, can transform our daily stroll. I found this book by listening to an interview with the author, Annabel Streets, on the Mind Body Green podcast.

Each chapter talks about a different approach to walking and then talks about specific items you might need for your walk.Anyhow, this was great, except there were a few chapters that didn’t work for me, like “Walk Backwards,” which feels really impractical and silly.
